We had been anticipating this day for a long time now… 13 weeks to be exact, since I found out I was pregnant! I had my gender ultrasound on Tuesday of this week. It was the most incredible thing seeing how big our baby had gotten. Our last time we saw the baby, it was the size of a blueberry and not much to actually see. When I saw a foot, I broke down in tears! The tech knew that we didn’t want to know the gender at that appointment, so she kept telling us to “look away” while she took pictures of the baby, which was hard. I wanted to see every second of that ultrasound! So, she packaged the results up in an envelope and we were off… off to waiting 5 strenuous days of waiting till we found out. The hardest part was driving around with the envelope and NOT looking!!! My sisters, Sarah and Katie, hosted the most amazing, detailed gender reveal party for us at Sarah’s house. One of my best friends, Dayna from Dayna Mae Photography, blessed us with these beautiful pictures! I hope you enjoy the recap!
It was such a blessing to have our closes friends and family there with us to celebrate this day and to find out with us!
It was FINALLY time for the firework REVEAL! Either a pink firework would shoot off… or a blue one!!
Sure enough… it was BLUE!! I just KNEW it!! Such an exciting moment!
We finally got to open the envelope to see what was inside! Pictures to prove our little BOY! 🙂
It was the perfect party with the best company. But better than all of that… we now can call “it” a “him”!
We are so looking forward to meeting him and anticipate that day! It’s really dawned on us the responsibility to not only parent, but also to raise a boy into a man who will eventually lead his family, love his future wife, and be the pastor over his home, and we don’t take that calling lightly! The biggest blessing about having a son is the fact that he can take after his dad, who I think is the amazing man I have ever met! 🙂
Thanks again for all of your kind words as we joyously celebrate this new season in our lives!
